Asim was born into a muslim family belonging to Jammu & Kashmir. Riaz Ahmed Choudhary, his father, is a former special secretary officer from Jammu & Kashmir. Shabnam Naz is his mother’s name. He has a sister and a brother. Umar Riaz, his brother, is a general surgeon situated in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Asim started as a model for various famous brands. He has appeared in advertisements for Blackberry, numero uno, Royal Enfield, Burberry, Blues, Helix and other brands in India. He has also modelled for well-known companies such as Lenskart. In David Dhawan’s film Main Tera Hero, he got a little role. He has eve starred in many Punjabi music videos like mere angane mein, Dur hua, Kalla son anal, etc.
Riaz began his career in music as a rapper, releasing his first single, Back to Start. Charan composed the song, which was directed by Jay Singal. Because of Riaz’s fan base, the song received some early traction and helped him achieve some early success. In 2021, he uploaded another song on YouTube, King Kong, which was likewise created and directed by the same team.
