WB Chief Minister Nabanna Scholarship is popularly known as Nabanna Scholarship. This scholarship is started by the West Bengal government to provide education to talented and needy students. It is made for the students who have domicile in West Bengal.
The main objective of the scholarship is to encourage students belonging to poor families to continue their studies. This scholarship didn’t have any opening and closing dates.
In this scholarship, students will get Rs.10000 per year to proceed with their education. All the amount of scholarship will be paid from the West Bengal CM care fund.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To get the benefits of a scholarship a student needs to fulfill the following conditions-
A student having domicile of West Bengal can enjoy the benefits of the scholarship
The student must have passed their past examination from any recognized institution of West Bengal
For 11th and 12th a student must have passed with a minimum of 65% in their 10th examination
For undergraduate-level student must have passed with a minimum of 60% aggregate
For postgraduate level student must have to score 55% in honors subjects
The annual income of the family must be less than Rs.60000.
Students who already getting benefited from any other scholarship whether state or central cannot claim benefits under this scholarship
APPLICATION PROCESS-
The government has given offline mode to fill the application form and you can download the application form from www.wbcmo.gov.in and download the CM relief fund scholarship form.
The process for filling application form-
Fill in the required details as mentioned in the application form
Attach all the required documents which are-
Self-declaration copy with countersigned by Head of the Institute, currently studying
Photocopy of admission fees book
Self Bank account details (Bank Name, Account Number, IFSC Code, Branch Name, and code) with a photocopy of the Bank passbook
Income certificate issued by DM/SDO/BDO etc.
Recommendation and Income certificate from MLA or MP
Copy of rank card and allotment letter of the selection committee
Mark sheet of the last examination

It will take a minimum of 3 months for the choice method and every one the requests square measure examined by the CRMF cell of the Chief Minister’s workplace. It should be sent to the district justice and commissioner for any verification.

Nabanna scholarships are distributed among selected students as determined by the CMRF cell of the Chief Minister’s office
Students with the lowest family income get an advantage of getting selected for the scholarship more often.
Students that are already availing of another scholarship are not eligible to get Nabanna Scholarship.
